Quick tip:
My K1100RS began stalling at idle; consistently.
It turned out to be that the Throttle Position was, very slightly, out of adjustment. It was turned slightly too far clockwise.

I use BT-020's , also.
Taking the pressure up to near sidewall made a tremendous difference.
But, no one will ever accuse the RS of being "twitchy"!

I've been wondering about a leaky 'stat, too.
1/3 when it's cool (50-60 F) @ 80 mph.
1/2 when it's hot (80F+)@ 80 MPH
