Minimum thickness is listed in the K1100Lt Owners manual (pdf file link somewhere in forum or PM me and I can provide). This is what it says:
Minimum brake pad thickness mm (in) 1.5 (0.059) |

| Can't tell you for sure on the fitting the old keys to the tumblers, but a good locksmith can do some amazing things ... but I hope you can find the old latches, that's the easiest solution ! |
