| I had the same issue with my fuel gauge. Ended up tossing it (and the coolant temp gauge as well) and replacing them with VDOs (~$25 ea). Problem solved. |

Shaft R&R is very doable w/o removing the swing arm. It take a little effort to overcome the force of the clip on removal but a good yank with channel locks and a rag will do it. May be ... |
