I realize that all the info that I have read, say to change the brake fluid every year and sometimes twice as the fluid absorbs water, or something like that. But why?

| Yes it was just "18 and if my memory serves me is held on to the cover by one screw. I is such a minor thing and really when you think of it with MP3 players the radio is redundant. Thanks Bob |

The same thing happened to me on my k1100. I tried glueing with no luck.
Then I splinted it with thin aluminium but that broke, not thick enough.
Finaly I used 1/8" steel about 5" long and ... |
