I must admit that I have mine on my LT set between 8 and 10. These settings combined with RS wheels and (in my view) it runs as well as most modern tourers/sports-tourers.

On the LT the fairing only comes down to the oil sight-glass. Most of the sump is visible and the paint has flaked off the fins. Also the front (water-pump I think) is visible and looks bad too.

Hi,
The subject line says it all - any tips appreciated. Looks like sump removal is a big job so i'll need to do it in situ with plenty of masking tape. Planning to use Hammerite satin.

Managed to get the bolt out by drilling out with the master cylinder still on the bike - result!
The leak was a result of a rebuild using the old piston - have now honed and rebuilt with a new pist ... |

Thanks guys; I'll go with drill and extrator. I tried to use a torx bit to remove a snapped exhaust stud and suffice to say both are still in place - the head of the torx snapped off in the stud.
