I used a old 3 row k100 cooler on my k1100lt.had to trim the fan bracket.after the mod the fan hardly ever started |

I had the samme issue on a 92 k11lt.It was the connector on the dual water temp sensor that had corosion.ecu got a low temp reading so when engine was warm it got a lot of fuel(to mush to run) ok when ... |

Yes,it pulls harder beween 5k and redline but i loose a bit in the buttom.
The old k1100(no cat) is dificult to get(mixture) right both at the bottom and at the top

For the last 120k km i have used Denso iridium IX22 without any problems.
I never look at them, just replace them after 35-40k km.

It seems that you have a burned exh valve on no 2 or the valve seat has been re-worked.It is not normal to go all the way down to a 2.00 shim.

Another possibility is your startermotor needs new brushes. The Load sheding relay gets ground from one of the starter brushes.

Mybe a loose connector on the water temp sensor to the ecu.Plug behind
the fan.Bad connection = low temp to the ecu,so when the engine gets
hot,it still gets the fuel for a cold engine,way to ritch. ... |

You can use the f/d from a K1.It tops 208 km/h in 4`th gear on the
gps and close to 225 km/h on the clock.My k11lt tops 245 km/h on the dyno.

I did not see this (instruments/clock blank).It is not the ignition switch,
the clock is hot wired.It has to be some major wiring like ground or
positive from battery. Mybe ground on the gearbox or ... |
