Thanks for the input.

Cleaned the terminals, although they looked clean to me. That did the trick, glad it was so simple.

Just recently became the proud owner of a 01/1993 K1100LT. I was advised by the previous owner that the ABS was not working.

There are no flashing lights on the the instrument console ...
