K11 Owners Group

So the project was put on hold for a year (and a half!) while I moved across the pond. Old K11 is in pieces waiting for me to return, time to get a new one on the road!

Not quite relevant but I just changed the fuel bulb in the console - could it be any less accessible?

As I'm looking to strip out as much as possible from my K11, what's the smallest battery I could use to start the bike? No ABS, stereo, heated grips, GPS, widescreen TV etc, just bare bones starter mo ...

By "use all the components from the front wheel" do you mean the R1100 components or the K1100 components? I was hoping not to have to buy new more calipers...

It seems my understanding is the same as yours - if both sides of the calliper move equal ...

In other news, can anyone confirm how many pistons there are in each front calliper? Looks like the wire spoked wheels need a fixed disc as standard rather than floating... I understand the 4-piston c ...

2b) Different fork diameter so you'd have to downgrade back to K100 forks, wheel, brakes.

This I understand and is worst case - can this 0.5mm difference (as I understand it) not be forced to fit? ...

In all honesty it's a purely visual motivation.The gold 3-spokes are looking worse and worse in my eye and there's something so damned appealing about black spoked wheels...

I've read with interest the K12 wheel conversion in the mod section on the front page. I have my eye on a rear K12 5-spoke 5x17 rim. From my measurements should fit as a replaceme ...
