| I had identical symptoms with similar evidence (oiled up plug on one cylinder). The spark plugs were fairly new so were last on my list. The culprit was a prematurely failed plug. |

| Coloured aluminium is normally anodised. See if you can have the M/C anodised. |

Another oil related myth. Slick 50 was marketed as a friction reducer which would last the life of the engine. It contained PTFE (Teflon)

Update on my issue (now solved) maybe this will help the OP.....
The problem was best described as an intermittent partial loss of power once the bike had warmed up - though never bad enough to cau ... |

| Can you hear the slight click when the switch trips when the pedal is depressed? Similar/identical sound to the switch on the front brake lever. |
