I had identical symptoms with similar evidence (oiled up plug on one cylinder). The spark plugs were fairly new so were last on my list. The culprit was a prematurely failed plug.

Coloured aluminium is normally anodised. See if you can have the M/C anodised.

Another oil related myth. Slick 50 was marketed as a friction reducer which would last the life of the engine. It contained PTFE (Teflon)

Can you hear the slight click when the switch trips when the pedal is depressed? Similar/identical sound to the switch on the front brake lever.
