| I will never forget standing outside castle Bolten in the Yorkshire Dales, have my riding gear on and holding my helmet, a little boy walks up tp and asks 'Are you a knight?'. You can only give one answer at a moment like that, 'Yes, a black knight' and watch the awe on his face. Made me feel pretty good too. |

When I stopped at a viewpoint near Kancamagus Pass a few years back on my blue K75RT, I had an eastern European couple come over to me and ask me if it was OK to park their car where they had. They thought I was a cop! _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Years back (quite a few) when I had less gray on top, I was riding through a small Minnesota town around dusk. I was wearing a black leather jacket and jeans. I stopped to swap to the clear face shield on the helmet. A couple kids walked up and were watching me. One of them said "Are you Elvis?"
I replied in a fake southern drawl "Uh, hey now. Don't be cruel. Why, you ain't nothin' but a hound dawg" and tried to keep a straight face.
About five years later, still not so much gray, I stopped to get gas on one of the reservations in South Dakota. A couple indigenous kids walked up. One said "You look like Elvis." I couldn't resist repeating the same gag.
Sad truth is, I ain't no Elvis. Elvis rode an FLH. I was on a Honda. Real men ride Harleys. _________________ tlp

I'll check to see if I have pictures of old paint job but I recently had everything painted.......basic black and it is all in pieces. And it won't get back together anytime soon. I am mending a broken leg and can't stay on my feet too long. I like the old scheme better and will add the silver later. I think maybe some of the other coddgers might know where to get or see the black/silver paint job. It is nice. _________________ "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges"!
