Hi, All,
I work in a copper mine 225 miles from home in El Paso. When I arrived home yesterday for a couple of days off, imagine my surprise when a box was waiting for me with Ted Verrill's return address! I opened it and was like a kid in a candy store. You guys are too much! Ted, Johnny, Klinker, et al, THANK YOU! And Johnny, I read your note to Marian, my daughter. She appreciated it and she promised she'd try. Guys, I've met very few of you in person and none of you who sent me things. I hope I can change that in the not-too-distant future. Time will tell.
To you on the list, Johnny sent me a note with a gift (thanks again, Johnny) enclosed in the box from Ted. The note asked me to kick my daughter into gear since she is working on her PhD and her research is on Parkinson's Disease. Johnny's father is stricken with the disease. Marian got a big kick out of the note.
Again, Thank You. I wish I could thank you all in person. This is more than just a forum; it's more like a fraternity. Yes, I had some bad luck, and I am very, very appreciative of the support the K11OG members have given me after the Deer Meet and later with the loss of Harriet. You mean a LOT to me. Thanks.
Sincerely,
Phil Marvin - El Paso, TX

My "mine" is 227 miles from home. Long haul every weekend this time of year, but a good way to get nearly 500 miles a week on the K11 in warmer months.
Glad to hear the package brought a bright spot to the day. Continued best wishes to you, Phil. _________________ tlp

Only the Reasonists. They believe in an evidence-based world, something called Rationalism. But it's a tiny group, not so influential.
