The story so far..............
Found the bike, took a look at the bike, took a test ride, agreed on a price and shook hands. Alls that's left is to change the paper work.
And the best part is the BOSS has agreed that the "K" does not have to go anywhere!

It's a first owner 2002 with 53,000 km. The color is a little darker than what the picture shows.
First time I've riden an 'R'was the test ride, what a difference between a R and K. Have a lot of things to get use to. Riding home after the test ride I had alot more respect and LOVE for the K. It's like the K is the sports car and the R is going to be the family vehicle when I take Mom on her outings or the kids somewhere.
I had thought about a LT model but didn't want two motors that where that simular, plus harder argument to justify keeping the RS.
Does anyone know a good R site for information? _________________ 1995 K1100RS

Looks great, love the color-Aqua-Mint. It's a rare machine, BMW only offered that color for one year. You may want to consider the dual-plugging option. My RT was dual-plugged by San Jose BMW, they now sell a kit. It makes a huge difference in engine smoothness, and completely eliminates the dreaded surge. Also, there is a rear brake master cylinder upgrade for the RT, it reduces the abruptness of the pedal, and makes slow speed manuvering more manageable with the servo-assisted linked ABS you have.
All the best,

Hey rydor, is that bike for real? The Harley with the ape hangars? _________________ "Badges? We don't need no stinking badges"!

I didn't take the picture, but as far as I know, it's real...
Funny thing is, I wasn't too suprised the first time I saw it...
On a related note ... does anyone know what happened to 1950's bobber That guy was great |

I hope he wasn't run off by a perceived anti Harley sentiment here. He seemed to take Harley teasing very personally. _________________ Scott Hespelt, '94 K11LT

Man, the oversensitive types should steer clear of ADVrider.com
That place pulls no punches.
One of the problems with the internet is that it allows no flexibility for voice deflection or delivery, which is pretty much 90% of sarcasm and levity.
All we get are these substandard emoticons.

I went riding with him for a whole day in October. I sincerely doubt he's the hypersensitive type. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Well, that's what you get for buying an R bike - especially one from the wrong century. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
