No way in trading my KLT or my Springer...
But a Knucklehead would be a nice piece in my garage!
Or a R80GS...

They're having a drawing and giving away a G650 X-Challenge at my dealer on Saturday. Maybe THAT will be my next bike! Very Happy

A Goldwing, smooth on the highway, quiet on the by-way.....but only when the K goes belly up.

Wow.

Every time I see this bike I get wood.

I can count on killing myself with it, but it would be fun trying.

My first bike was a 1982 Honda CB750F Super Sport.

I remember it like it was yesterday.

My third was an '82 Honda 900F with the optional "sport control group" (IIRC) rearset pegs and shorter, flatter bars.

First was a '77 Yamaha XS500D

My second '75 (I think?) Kawasaki 500 2 stroke triple and yes I did roadrace it for 2 years- talk about stupid

Well, I just took the plunge last week. I purchased 2 used '06 Suzuki
Burgman AN400 Scooters! After 2 days of riding with my spousal unit,
I discovered that a former full figured, but still tall rider didn't fit well
on a 400. So, out with the old & on with the new. I traded the '06 400
for a '05 650. Yea, more betta...

If you haven't discovered the joys of riding a maxi sized modern
scooter, I highly suggest it. It's like a way back machine, just right
for trips to breakfast with the geezers, taking back books to the
library, picking up a 6v of near beer... You get the picture.

GO SCOOTERS!!!!! Cool

My NEXT bike, (Need to start a separate thread on bikes owned) is going to be a K1100 powered custom built three wheeler, (Not a trike or Grinnall) Can't wait to get started on it.

I try not to think about a bike I would like to own because it makes me lose interest in what I am currently riding. Thats probably why I have had so many. I do tend to keep the ones I really like.
I find I still have a big grin on when I ride my K1100 RS. What a great bike.

I think this fuel thing is changing everyones transportion habits and attitudes. Cycles in the past were always about getting the most performance as possible. This meant gear rations for acceleration and not highway fuel economy. I don't ride for the thrill of it, I ride to enjoy the environment and the scenary. With that in mind, comfort, fuel economy, reliablity, cost and nation wide availabilty of service.
Owning a BMW in Nebraska is an expensive endevor relative to Honda. The local dealers are few and far between. I'd like a bike that is geared for economy and I'd change the gear ratio if necessary (have done this several times with good mpg results. The Honda VTX with a better gear ratio for economy looks like the ticket. Sorry guys!
