I would like a place to put a radar detector and other farkle.
Does anyone know where I can get some kind of a shelf to mount on my K11LT? _________________ "When injustice becomes law, resistance becomes duty."

Chaps
I have grown to love my old girl over the past 7 months that we have been together.
It is time to invest in some goodies, but the design of the gadgetguy mounting does concern me.
The brackets are mounted by a single bolt into the upper dash trim fixing point. With a GPS and radio or speed detector, there is a considerable rotational force trying to tear that fixing bolt from the captive nut which is moulded into the fiberglass fairing ?
Am I missing some hidden reinforcement ? The bracket would be considerably more robust if it spanned both the upper and lower dash trim fixing points.
Owstrich, you are a satisfied customer, how would you improve this set-up. if indeed any improvement is needed.

Chopps - send Genna (GadgetGuy) an email. He's a good guy, and he's pretty sharp. I got to spend several hours with him when he moved to the area - I did his home inspection.
He will tell why and how that mounting system works.
That said, I mounted mine like this: http://k11og.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4490&highlight=gps
