Well, it begins
So the first thing we needed to do was puts some lights on her.
We started with these pics...
And we sent them to a friend of ours.
While waiting to hear back, Steve set up the PIAA's with HID's.
Time to test fire it...
Our friend sent these pics tonight.
We can't wait til he ships them to us. _________________ 1993 K1100RS aka The Shop Whore

I momentarily lost my vision when I saw this pic,
Damn, those are bright, don't hurt anyone!
Tell your friend to copyright those brackets, I'd gladly buy a pair! _________________ Steve

No, he does this sort of things for friends. Someone that sold them would have to be responsibe for warranting the product. Not to mention dealing with whiny customers.
He works metal for fun, not cash. _________________ 1993 K1100RS aka The Shop Whore

I asked John before I made this post, and he was clear about not making any more.
But like I said, he'll be sending me the CAD file, so from that anybody can take that to a machine shop, and they can cut them out. _________________ 1993 K1100RS aka The Shop Whore

Please add my name to that list as well, thanks.
What kind of metal are those made of?
Could they be done in aluminium, so as not to rust or need painting? _________________ Steve

These are steel, due to the weight of the PIAA's.
If you were to use lighter lights like the one's mounted on the SW, aluminium should be fine.
You're on the list _________________ 1993 K1100RS aka The Shop Whore

the fairings and mirrors on the RS and LT are different - not interchangeable. The brackets that Gwen had made for her RS will not fit a K... FYI... jus' sayin'... _________________ Jim

Jim's right.
These will not fit the LT, only the RS. _________________ 1993 K1100RS aka The Shop Whore

Ok, here's some more pics of the process.
Steve mounted the Blue Sea fuse block. We didn't use it for this light project, but set it in place for future projects.
Hey! Look! My bike matches the floor!!
Steve wired it so the the high beam switch turns on the PIAA's. So low beam is the main head light, high is all three.
We wanted the relay and 30 amp fuse (white box) in a place that was not too hard to get to.
Wires pulled thru.

But all you need to do is follow the steps we did, find a machine shop and make it happen. _________________ 1993 K1100RS aka The Shop Whore

More prorgess forward.
The inner plate and outer plate center holes were slightly enlarged to allow the connectors to pass thru.

I"m glad you posted those pics. I have my driving light wires routed over the fairing lip and under the inner knee panels. Didn't think to sneak the DL wires under the extender and through the hole like you have - probably because that's how I did my LT since there isn't a wiring hole on the LT..
On the other hand, I hate you - now I have to pull my fairing inners to reroute my DL wiring. But I needed an excuse to do that anyhow as I'm going to make my new LED running light reflectors into turn signals that flash off when the stock turn signals flash on. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
