Oh sweet! A cart on skis! The hairy footed horses are a nice touch, too.

Here in Silicon Valley, it's pretty rare we see any snow and it's a 4-5 mile drive to Lake Tahoe. And seeing as I have bad knees, I don't ski, so I don't go to Tahoe. I went almost 45 years before I actually saw snow fall. It was on a business trip to Minneapolis. I've seen it fall twice since on motorcycle trips, though.. Smile

Closer to pagan than Amish. Been working with "Rob and Shirley" for over 15 years.

ME. I've been begging for this, I freaking love snow.

Yeah, it's true, I can't ride when the roads are a mess, but I still love winter more than any other season, and it just makes the rides the rest of the year all the sweeter. There's nothing quite like those first couple of rides of spring...

Try driving in it for 10 hours or so and come home to a road that has so much snow in it that you have to chain up your four wheel drive pickup (all 4 wheels!) to plow it out 3 freaking days in a row. Evil or Very Mad

Plowed 4 times yesterday, the fourth time ended at 11:30pm.

We have 1/3 mile of unpaved road to our house. There are actually 2 more houses on our road but the two other homeowners will not lift a finger- so it comes down to ME if Cathy and I are going to get to our offices in the morning.

fnord, I like winter sports too- snowboarding, skate skiing, ice skating.
But this is too much- we have had more than 2 feet since Friday. Kind of early in winter to be stacking snow (people who plow will understand).

Your weather developments have even made the UK news programmes...24 inches of snow in Maine in 24 hours !

I don't think we've had that much in the last five years cumulatively!

I plowed 17" and woke up to at least that much more the next day. Then 6" the day after that and another 6 last night. Shocked At least I was off for 3 days so I could deal with it. Very Happy

Oh, believe me, I know all about it. I live in the foothills of the Berkshires, and I've seen more than 2 feet fall in a single storm.

I still love it though. I busted out the snowblower 3 times this weekend, and woke up this morning to a fresh 4 inches.
