After some thought I come up with my adjustable heavy duty heat gun. The uses for this thing are endless; Removing bearings, installing bearings, drying bearings after cleaning, installing shrink tubing, warming up rubber parts so they install easier, removing decals, heating up fasteners that have been locktited so they come out easier and roasting spiders. I know there are more things that I use it for but it's late and some of the brain cells have quit for the day.

Happy New Year guys and gals.

Ed

No comment. I've heard that porn on the Internet is a bad thing.

3/8" drive Snap-on rachet wrench. SMOOOTH.

All my other drives and all my sockets are Craftsman, but the Snap-on drive is the difference between an abused, worn out Jap bike and a just broken in K

It ended up just spitting ice most of the day here. Did you get a lot of snow up on Sugar Hill?

A special tool for measuring Ducati valve closing shims. It is complete with a built in dial indicator, thumb operated release lever and finger holes to hold it like a gun. Coolest thing I've got, too bad I sold my Duck!

Not sure I'd qualify as "most prized" (since Scott_Anderson's help with the midwest motobrick), but I'm honored to be regarded as a mototool by j o. Wink

Got about 4" of snow so far with a mixture of rain as of now, 7pm. Forecast is for snow tonight and the predictions (wild guesses) go from 10" of additional snow with temps hitting mid teens to a more conservative and believable 2-4" with low 20's (VPR radio)

But the heated cab and snowblower on your Kubota........THAT is the bomb!!

Yeah, except that if minds are tools, I meet several each day that need to go back and fixed under warranty.

My Fluke voltmeter is indespensible around the house and for my many bike and truck projects. I can't imagine not having it handy.

My second favorite tool is my Gerber Multi-tool. When I had my marine supply store I used it a hundred times a day I'm sure.

The best tool by far is a proud Canadian design...the Robertson screwdriver. History recalls that Henry Ford wanted exclusive exclusive ownership of the patent before he would buy the screws but the inventor turned him down. Ford said he would never let the screw be used in America so he went with the crappy Phillips Screw instead. We've been using the Robertson up here for a very long time and it is only in recent years that the US has decided to make a sort of copy called the "Square Drive"", which is actually slightly inferior (straight sides instead of tapered sides). I have to admit though, that the hex-head screw and hex tools are nearly as good, but you won't find any Philips in my house unless they're under drywall tape.

I guess I'd have to say my tool box because it has all my tools in it.
