For cheap thrills...fill a cup with cold water, go outside, throw the water up in the air, then watch it freeze before it hits the ground. _________________ 2000 R1100RT

Brrr here too in Buchanan, MI. (Just up the road from HoosierStu).
I have a dog to walk too. Problem is he loves the snow and cold.
20+ below isn't my kind of weather. Can't wait til it gets in the 40's.

Wrong. I actually prefer riding in the winter, although I won't ride with ice/salt on the road it's not uncommon for me to ride when there is 2' of snow piled up on the sides of the roads.
Of course, that would require me to actually have a bike that is running. _________________ Bane of your existence since July 2006

Don't have many photos. The machine is sitting ten feet up on a shelf in a heated shop. I bought it less than a month ago where is stored. Previous owner is nice enough to keep it for me til spring.
I am still digging history on the bike.
Thus far: Was owned by Phillip Mann.
Sold to John Easton about 2003. John had it a while and did the "four corners" on it in 5 1/2 days.
In March 2008 sold it to J. Reece in Florida.
John got it back mid 2008. (JR had health problems).
Now comes the guessing and I'll quiz John in the spring.
I think it got painted in mid to late 2008. John took the corner to his street a bit fast, and hit loose gravel. I think the bike was either gray & black or silver & black. John made repairs to the faring, turn signal etc. and had everything painted yellow for visibility. (Sure is.)
It has hard cases, but one doesn't quite match. (a replacement for a damaged side case?). Luggage rack (not installed), tall wind screen (not installed), tank bag. John (machinist & welder), modified the stock handlebars and made a set of risers (not installed).
Nearly new tires. Has always had synthetic oils in it. I'll be fishing to other service items later.
Oh yeah, 96,000 miles on the odometer.

That suggests it is an "SE" and the polished fork tubes pretty much confirm it. Same as j o's midwest motobrick.
Sweet ride - with long distance provenance, no less. _________________ tlp
