here you go...
so we head out to ride the old overland stagecoach road and the sunrise hi way in san diego county...
we got over the ortega we had second thoughts because of the low snow levels and chance of black ice...
we ended up wondering around the avocado and citrus orchards between wildomar and fallbrook... it looks like a spaghetti bowl of residential roads... in all reality we got in there and it took hours to find our way out... but it was a beauty of a ride with excellent asphalt and scenic vistas with very little traffic...
the bugeye motobrick ready for destinations unknown...
the red rocks of black star canyon road...
santiago canyon road donkeys... the got another one... 5 total now... gonna have visit again soon... they are some fine donkeys...
micki uses the electrics all the time this time of year... i seldom use the electrics... core body heat was essential today...
poofy clouds in the socal today... between storms... we could see the ocean from santiago canyon...
cooks corner... the garage queens stretch all the way around... very popular place today for those without electric grips... electric jackets... full face helmets... polish and booch1t... what else are you gonna do...
rolling up live oak...
rolling down live oak... this once must have been a beauty of a place... still is...
santiago peak...
trabuco canyon creek...
more later... _________________ yeeeeeehaaaaaaa...

up to the crazy trabuco canyon hairpin...
santiago peak...
lake elisonore with the snow capped san gregorio peak to the left and and san jacinto peak to the left...
cleveland forrest road... it was a no go today... looked evil for a 2 up...
here we go... the roads between wildomar and fallbrook... micki didnt take many photos because she was in awe of the beauty... it was like exploring a remote place all the while being so close to modernized civillation...
dont know the names of the roads... but everyone was a beauty...
this was one mofo of a grade... steeper than the famous priest grade... brake burner for sure... gonna remember to ride this one up hill next time...
new donkey sighting... this is one happy donkey... lotts o shade and grass and horses for company... hes got it all...
and a llama ranch... must feel at home on the rocky terrain...
this thing was colossal... we eventually found our way to the driveway on the other side of the valley... it said inman ranch on the fortified gate...
this mountain looks like a volcano that blew its top long ago... looked on the map but couldnt figure it out... its in the santa rosa range best i could tell...
palomar in the distance...
big bear in the distance...
the sunset at the san diego freeway illegal alien check point... the traffic stoppage was enormous... hooray for lane sharing...
we ended up riding about 350 glorious miles in about 8 hours on this valentines day... he he he...
there you are...

Why is it ALLWAYS steeper than it looks in the pics!
Beautiful roads and views Jo. Thanks for taking me there this morning as I watch the sleet fall here in Culpeper, VA. _________________ 1993 K1100RS aka The Shop Whore

The long road is a rainbow and the pot of gold lies there.
So slip the chain and I'm off again,
