HUMPH!
I gedit. Those of you that still own a decent K-series just like to remind those of us with an oilhead that the new Beemers have a lifespan measured with a stop watch rather than a calender.
I'm not sore. I LIKE the feel of corroded aluminium and dodgy electrics give a bike character. Waiting for the recovery truck lets me catch up on my reading.

I just saw one of those up close and in person last friday. Was on display at our state safety forum.

I turn a half century in October this year.
My 1981 R100RS has 132,000 and still goes AOK. I have now fallen into a love affair with my 93 K1100RS with only 31,800 miles on it as of today.
I ride anywhere from 8 - 25K miles a year. With teen agers in da house, I stay busy. Neither one is interested in MC's.
I'm EXTREMELY lucky health wise, I'm about 30 fitness wise, and that's an active 30. I've done & had done some terrible things to my body. Some by myself by bad choices, some by others making equally bad choices.I have great health insuarnce through my employer and a fitness center WITH rehab and advisors in all our plant locations so barring further dumb stuff happening, I'm riding till I cannot and I work hard at staying fit.
I hope and pray that for my 100th B-day in 50 more years I can still ride.
I don't care what I'm riding on, as long as it feels like it does now.
Ride safe, ride often, never say die.

We had a guy visiting our sugarhouse today that was 81 years old, in cancer treatment, weighed about 120. Showed me pics of his goldwing which he rides all over the country. He rode on two wheels until three years ago when he went to a trike.
