A UK Gallon is made up of 20 floz (20 fluid ounces weighs 1lb)
A US Gallon is made up of 16 floz, Therefore a UK pint is bigger and consequently a gallon made up of 8 pints in the UK and US is bigger in the UK.
So a US gallon is smaller. For the same size tank you will have different gallons but the litres remain universal all over the world. 1 cc = 1 ml
