I'm staying with my in-laws in southern Oregon for a week. I lived out here for a year a while back (11 years ago), and one of my greatest regrets has always been that I didn't have a motorcycle while I was out here on all of these well-maintained, twisty-ass mountain roads.
So Sunday I'm heading down to Medford to rent an Adventure 990 for the day.
Should be good for a few grins :] I've always wanted to try one out, and the combination of that bike with these roads is going to be SO sweet.

Heh, the ride listed out of Medford is 238, the applegate highway. That's where I lived, on Pennington Mountain.
It's also the route we were already planning on taking.
I was about 27 when I lived out here, and just before I moved back east I spent a weekend camping with some friends up at Howard Prairie. One of my friends rode out there on his Yamaha streetbike, I forget the model, but he talked me into taking it for a ride. I hadn't been on a bike since I was in my early teens, but.... damn. That was it, I had to get one again.
