Well it's been nearly a year since I bought my K. I started the disassembly process about two weeks later. Finally it's back on the road. I just wanted to say thank you to the folks who have contributed to this forum. I can't tell you how many times I have used your posts to complete this process. I've included a before (via cell phone) and after photo.

Thanks, he are a few from the other side. When I look at the left side, my eyes are immediately drawn to the exhaust. Oh well, work in progress.

Very sharp looking K, love the color and the new black seat, looks proper.
Please see my post here about the discolored cat on the exhaust, an easy $5-$7 fix and it's still holding up well.
