I have never been one for music on a bike. But for really long trips it nice to the Hanna Montana that my daugther listens to out of the noggin. I was looking for something that would allow me to easily reach and control my iPod most importantly volume.
Finially I found the iJet. Available for about $35 it is a RF remote control, waterproof and it has a pass through for the charger or speakers. So you simply plug this into the bottom of the iPod and wait about 30 seconds, then you are good to go. I have the remote (even though it is waterproof)inside the clear pocket of my tankbag which allows me to easy access. I am addicted to my iPod once again.
This device does not work with the iTouch or iPhone. _________________ 1997 K1100LT

OK, go slowly I'm just barely able to use my Ipod.
Waz it do for you? If what I think it does it may be what I'm looking for.
Help out a techno challenged geezer.
Thanks

What is does is give you a waterproof remote control that works up to 150' away from the unit. I use it like this:
I put the iPod, iJet unit and charger plug deep in my tank bag. The remote gets mounted on my fairing. I get to change songs, adjust volume easily without the risk of the iPod itself getting wet or falling off my bike.
The remote uses lithium batteries that last a long time. _________________ 1997 K1100LT

Guys,
I just put my iPod nano in the clear map pocket of my tank bag- Why the need for a remote?
Under the clear cover it is very waterproof (checked the last two months of weather in the northeast USA lately?) and all the iPod controls- including volume- work through the plastic and my thinner summer gloves.
Just my own input.
