She looks good too, considering I only wash her once a year.

Keep on riding!
Don't worry too much about the nay sayers. Some here have been treated unfairly by their rides, least ways they feel so, and if ya feel it, it must be real.
She'll give as good as she gets, and when she needs love / maintainence, many here will give good advise so the next 50K comes & goes faster and better than the last.
