I was parked at the grocery store last week and as I was getting ready to leave an older guy (well, older than me) got out of his minivan and was admiring my bike. He asked a lot of questions and didn't know much about bikes but was obviously quite taken with it and probably not just a little envious.

Then he asked my favorite question: "Is it a 2009?"

Timeless beauty.

I have never had anyone guess the true age of my Motobrick.

Most were astounded when I told them it was from 93'

I can't stand the aysymetrical head light thing, it's just wrong, and that bike above takes it to a new level, with actually different headlights right and left.

Everytime I see a sport bike with one headlight on and not the other, I think, "oh, he's got a head light out".

I guess I'm getting old....

I confess to digging it. But understand, I've got a warped sense of design. "Symmetry is highly overrated" is one of those twisted values one gets from too many years of studio critiques.

I do wonder if the long-throw lamp is on the left side on the UK bikes. THAT would justify the unconventional layout.

Wonder how much OVER list price some of the first dealers with 1000RR bikes are going to charge.

BTW- I get the same "how old"? about mine when it is parked at my office.

They even have the $20 Lockhart-Phillips turn signals down low where cagers can't see them - although they probably cost $200 from you friendly local dealer. Rolling Eyes

States have limits on the number of headlights a motorcycle can have. There may be a federal limit too, not sure though.

Man, you're a sneaky mofo. You moved the blinkers up to the mirrors while I had my back turned. Laughing

OK, paint it Mystic Red and I'll buy it. Very Happy
