Hi
I have a K11LT without the handbook!
The BMW radio has worked OK but i have had the fairing apart to fix a couple of things and I thought i needed to recode the radio so went to hit the numbers and may have miskeyed. It is showing 995 or 996 with a little 2 on the top left of the display. I thought this may have been OK and working but non of the search etc buttons work and the on/off/volume switch livens the amp but not to any station. PIA and something silly has happened.
Any help as the Ashes cricket is on and at an important point and it helps me to get through the jobs on the bike!!
To any US cousins, the Ashes is the most important sporting event in the world but only to Brits and Aussies... if fact cricket is only important to Brits and their former colonies, ahem!

I just emailed you the radio manual. You hold down one ofthe buttons to clear it, can't remember which one though. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

From an email from Rusty at Max BMW:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jim,
Radio serial number is 0003924.
The radio lock-out code is 5154.
To enter your code:
Turn on the ignition.
Turn on the radio.
Enter the code (5154) by depressing the appropriately numbered preset buttons. After the last code number is entered the radio will activate.
If you make a mistake while entering the code, press an hold the band (BAND) switch until the code numbers disappear from the display, then enter the correct code.
This code was provided by BMW Technical. Let me know if it works.
Regards,
Rusty Gill

Thanks for the help. I managed with the aid of these posts to get the thing working again. Helped to pass the time while i turned couple of jubilee clips around from my "bad idle" fix on the new mainfolds, which were fouling the throttle slightly, ahem!
Thanks again.
