Well the bike is almost finished. I just have a few more cosmetic things to do on it and reinstall the aftermarket fuel pump. Here are some pics.

Good job.

Hi, Rich,
The K100 looks fantastic. It still has the original rear brake fluid reservoir. There have been many reports of them shattering after a few years of use from sunlight making the plastic brittle. They should be discarded and a new, round reservoir should be mounted onto the relay box. I think there was a recall to that effect, but I'm not sure. When you do it, be careful and don't cut into a wire!

The exhaust is a Super Trapp. They are no longer made for the K's.

Hey Phil,

I hadn't heard that. The reservoir looked pretty weathered before I cleaned it up. I guess I'll start looking for a newer round one.

Thanks,

What horn(s) did you use?

I was able to score a complete headlight assembly like that for my project K75. With some trimming I was able to get the 135 dB horns like the K11s have in there.

Right now I just have the flat round ones that came with the headlight assembly when I got it. They are not as loud as the horns on my K11LT but they will do for now.

Hey Rich, is that that old K100 you swiped out from under me last fall? Very Happy

If so, you've done her proud! I would have likely have parted her out and worse, let it become a dust collector in my garage.

Nice work! It should be a fun ride!

Yeah that's the one. Once I got it running it seemed like it had to much potential to part it out.
