Well, VERY late fall riding is unbelievable here. We should have snow on the ground by now and the temps should be around 20 or 30.

BUT early fall has returned (where was this weather during HL???) and we had to meet to EAT. Seafood was the choice.

I did the backroads for about 2 hours to get to the eatery and was followed closely by Jim-

Then the newest member of the NH K11OG crew, Ernie, pulled in-

Time to eat.......

Hey, Gui, get a look at Ernie's shirt- thought you might like it.

Then your's truly scarfing down on the shrimp basket

Hope the food was enough info for the K11OG, cause the twisties we did after that were 2 hands on the bars and the camera stays in the tankbag.

That's our story and the three of us are sticking to it Laughing

Seriously- to be riding at 50 degrees or so very late in November is at least a couple weeks past when we should have snow on the ground and be thinking of tearing the bikes apart.

Of course this is delaying the ski-doo report from Jim Rolling Eyes

We've had this crazy kind of weather a little south of Chicago, too. Washing cars, riding motorcycles......

Hi John... Hi Jim...

Hey it was great "meet up" today for the NH contingent of K11OG...eh?...and GREAT to meet Jim and John! The weather superb, the lunch great, and the ride just super ! Who would believe that we're out riding at the end of November in northern New England ? Re the "Hardley Drivable" Tshirt... my daughter is an architect who lives in Milwaukee and did a contract portion of the new Harley Davidson Museum. She gave me the shirt and cap as a present when her portion of the Museum design was completed. I ride BMWs and Kawasakis, true, but I'm not anti-Harley. I just dont think much of the technology with the exception of the new V-Rod engines from Porsche... OK ??

The ride around Big Squam lake and through the village of Sandwich is made for motorcycles especially in the Fall ( or very late Fall as it may be )...but when any of you come to visit we can match this with ride of much much longer duration, and thats a promise !!

Again... Jim, John... It was great to see you guys today. Sorry we had to cut it close on time. Just as Jim had a scheduled appointment, I got buzzed on my pager that my son and daughter-in-law had arrived from Philadelphia so I departed company when Jim did. Hope to see you guys again soon, and even when it snows we can still get together and plan the next seasons rides !

Very best regards to all and a very Happy Thanksgiving as well !!

Bob, I live about an hour north of Jim and Ernie, so I am the closest to Mt Wash.

Actually every day when I go the 6 miles to my office I see Mt. Washington in the distance. The HL 1 ride I had planned for Saturday (ended up very wet and cold- so the ride that day was cut way short) would have gone right past the "auto road" that goes up MW. That was after we would have done some other great roads.

Would have been a very good weekend for HL- but who could have bet on late November for good MC riding?

Hey you guys, I was up there on my airhead the year BMWMOA was in Varmit.

I've ridden Bear Tooth, Dead Indian and many more passes out west, but that climb up Mt Washinton definitely had my attention as much as any of the others.

The trip down was much better, could actually look at some scenery.

Happy Turkey Day to all of you.

We did an 80+ mile dual sport ride today with 12 ADV members.

"Epic" does not begin to describe it. Best time of year to ride.

Was wondering how your DS ride was- must have had a good day, great weather for it.

On Saturday I ended up on a class 6 (unpaved, unmaintained and getting much worse by the minute) for miles. Hardly DS stuff but NOT what my RS is intended for. Lots of very loose washouts. Sweaty palms and what the he!! am I doing here. But then the road slowly improved and finally pavement after about 1/2 hour.
