I just ordered some Magnecor spark plug leads for my K1100s.

I got the 8.5mm "Competition" wires for the RS because they're red.

I got the 8.0mm "Conventional" wires for the LT since they're blue.

Plan to install them in October.

I have been using the magnecor wires for about a year now.
They have performed very well.
When i put my lab scope on them, they have a better trace signal than the originals ever did.

Anybody else had trouble with that link, I haven't been able to get it to open.

It may just be this "government" computer

I ordered them and left town before they arrived so I don't know what they actually look like.

Did you buy some? Got a pic? I'd be interested in seeing them.

Keith - not answering for Drake. Look at your original spark plug wires. If you got the right ones for your bike, they have "big metal caps" on them.

I'm sure that BMW hasn't changed the technology behind our spark plug wires - there are probably better wires available by now.

I can only imagine that these guys know what they're doing and if they're listing them specifically for the K1100 that they're the correct plug wires and will fit and work well.

I found lots of positive reviews (mostly on cars) surfing the Internet before I decided to purchase them.

I hope to get home and install them this week sometime. I'll post pics.

If they don't fit/work then I'll send them back.

Hi Guys,

Magnecor is one of two companies here in the UK, one is a satellite [ Magnecor ] and the other is English [all the parts are made here]. Laughing

I have been liaising with both companies for some time now and have trialled products from both [ 10K miles on 2 x bikes ].

Both have performed well and without a hitch. Magnecor have an excellent reputation in Europe for their car leads and they seem anxious to please with this project. Wink

The other company manufactures everything in house and are OEM suppliers to many automotive manufacturers. They have stock [ 8mm ] and hi-po wires [10mm ] and they are currently making up a "pre-production" set for me to try out. Cool

I'll post the results.

I picked up a set of Magnecors 8mm and put them on the bike. I did not notice two much of a difference between those and what was on the bike in terms of performance but there wasn't really anything wrong with the old wires. The nice part is that you can easily get the wires on and off the plugs without the fear of pulling the bike down on top of you. Putting the wires on there is a nice audible click that tells you that they are set on the plug.

Boy, when I installed the Magnecors, it felt like they were a little loose at the cap even though I made sure to push them on straight. So much so that I called and chatted with their tech support who said that was OK. I've got about 4-500 mileson them on the RS now and they seem to be doing fine.
