Just saying hello to everyone, New to this site and bmw's, but not too motorcycles.
Have loved bmw's since I was a kid, Finally got one, (new to me 93 K1100LT) back in oct and just found this site. I have never been happier with any other bike, and will never own anything but a bmw again.. 
I hope to get to meet some other so Ca people, and Im sure this board will have more than enough info to keep me busy.

Welcome to the asylum! If you ever have reason to be in El Paso, let me know. We have some great steakhouses here and I can use most any excuse to visit one of them!

By the way, since you live on it, what's 138 like? I ride to Rancho Mirage and back at least once a year but have never tried 138.

Hello "ET" and welcome to the group !! Sure you'll love your new LT and when you have a question here IS the place to come. Now you'll have to take and post some pics of yourself and the bike, write a Bio so we know who you are.... and then go to the CAMPFIRE sticky and order a new K11OG shirt so we can recognize you !!

138 from the I-5 to the I-15 is a good road, two lane, but good road, they do call it blood alley, but its not the road, its the stupid nut behind the wheel, Dont push the speed over 65, they do work it good, If you do take that way, when the 138 runs with the 14 thru lancaster, instead of gettting off as the signs say for the 138, stay on the 14 two more exits to Angeles crest Hwy, it will loop around, then turn left, follow for about six miles, if you stay in the right lane you will only be able to turn right where you need to, then just follow that on out.. If you like older stuff, you should stop at charlie brown farms in Littlerock, It will bring back some memories..
Any other question, feel free to ask about this route, or others as i ride all over the mountains around here..
