Well the clouds didn't clear but it wasn't raining enough to put everyone off so went for a spin with the BM club of QLD. 15 bikes all up which just shows what a month of rain does.....makes one stir crazy!
Sorry about the photo quality, I forgot the camera so used the Blackberry instead.
First stop breakfast at Woodford:-
Nice old outfit turned up although didn't join us:-
Lunch in the rain forest at a bikers haunt:-
The BM Dealer from Maroochydore was having a test ride day! They were just packing up when we arrived unfortunately, they had a K1300S, the S1000, a 2010 R1200GS and a F800S on demo. Pretty brave considering the roads were wet!!
So up the Obi Obi gorge road which was new to me, back along the range to Maleny, my favourite bit of road and home over Mt Mee. To show you what rain we've been having this is normally a field of green, they won't have to water the turf farm for a while:-
Being a tall prick I need a tall bike. The F800GS fitted me better than the R1200GS....very tempting..... and they have such a wonderful motor, pity they don't have it in red though:-
Wouldn't be hard to paint it red I guess....
So we did about 400ks for the day, all wet roads but little rain. A glorious day. Brick went great, really happy with the setup now but time for a new front tyre.
Cheers
D
