Dave,
I was off the boards for a few days and just saw this.
I'm really sorry to hear this especially at the start of great weather and the end of the long snowy winter.
Heal fast.
Beau

Gwen, thank you so much for those awesome, guiltless chocolates! Hit the spot!

Strangely enough I don't have much of an appetite. Must have been the metric assload of powerful narcotics they were pumping into me.

All that is over now....got home a few hours ago. Every little task is going to be a huge production for the next few days until we work out a system. ADV buddy is coming over tomorrow to install grab bars in the bathroom and a hand-held shower. And get this....I am going to be seen by a home care nurse tomorrow. Razz Should be fun.

Not fun having to struggle for 10 mins to take a dump and not being able to wipe your own ass. Crying or Very sad

I thought it was your leg that was broken - not your arms...

I haven't been on this list for a while and when I come back I come back to this!

Tough break man! Wink

I hope the surgery goes very well and that you heal quickly.

You and yours are in my prayers.

Take care,

Milton S.

Had about 16 ADV folks over last night, great time but I overexerted myself way too much. Felt nauseous from the pain and had to lay down while the party raged on. Good people, Paula and I will miss them when we move.

Moving from NY to NC? I did that when I was young, them good old boys are going to have fun with you. But one of the best places I have lived, plan on a trip there when I hit the States at the end of April (last time there was 11 years ago).

Ya, we planned a Jan 2011 move. Not sure how much being out of work for 3-4 months will delay that. Sad

I guess whatever God has in store for us we will go with. Hard for Paula though, as tough, organized, hardworking and loving as she is the one thing she lacks is the innate feeling that everything will work out, much as I point out our history, she worries incessantly. Again, I try to have her reflect at our past together, all the hurdles and obstacles we have overcome already, the times of sickness and slim wallets, broken down cars and unemployed for 2 months....it's always worked out. And usually after the crisis we are often in a better spot than we were in before!

Don't get me wrong, I love my wife to death and she is the best person I know, but we are polar opposites in regards to crisis management.

I think it's a woman thing, but it drives me fkn crazy to keep having to play cheerleader. (about our future mostly)

Can't say enough about the job she is doing with me laid up. Pretty much everything she is taking care of.
