The K 1100 LT is all the way back together, and running great. Amazing the difference the new clutch made.
Loaned my bike to a close friend and a clip on their boot cut the seat.
My girlfriend and I have been wondering about the Corbin and Sargent seats. I don't want to spend $700+ on a seat for a $3200 motorcycle, so we will be looking for a used one. Is one better than the other?
I am 6' with a 34" inseam, I feel folded over on the stock seat, and my knees hit the fairing. Is this something one of these seats fixes? I see lowered seats, but no raised seats?
We do lots of 500 mile days.
2)
The K1100OG stickers....are those all gone, or does someone still hve them for sale?
3)
We have talked about getting a communication system. Does anyone have real life recommendations? Bluetooth, telephone, gps, mp3, passenger required. after 2 speeding tickets last summer, maybe a radar detector would be good too.

Maybe you should go for the cruise control to help with that speeding issue. _________________ Doug

Ken, I'm a little taller & have the same inseam. What you need is a
Russell saddle. All the difference in the world. I bought mine here from
a Texan for around $250 if I remember correctly... advertise a WTB
on the IBMWR site & others, you may have some luck locating one. _________________ Kent

thanks for your input everyone.
Is the 1997 K1100LT seat setup the same as the K75 and K100? I see lots of stuff that is listed as K75 k100 compatable, but have no idea whether it would fit the K1100LT?
Any advise let me know. thank you.

For communications, you might have a look at http://www.starcom1.com/
Does intercom, music, phone (via cable), bluetooth and satnav connectivity. Oh, and inter-bike comms as well _________________ David, owner of:

Lots of instant on radar out there these days. A radar detector will tell you that you just got a ticket or that there's a grocery store nearby.
Mine was somewhat useful when I got it back in 2004. Now I use it as a voltmeter sine I have that setup as the default display. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

They sell these things that pretend to be a parking distance alarm ie proximity device. It screws with the laser detectors somehow and is legal. Read about it here:-

Alternatively you could just slow down!!
