About time I posted these, eh? Look at it as a work in progress.

Here she is before I started tossing the crap:

Here she is after I've made a few modifications. I've already installed bar backs in this picture. Note the upside down peg rubber, the replacement seat I got on eBay (apparently new, it was) and the fork seal bandana to keep fork oil from sloshing down into the brakes or tire:

Clean today, covered with dust the next. The Susquehanna and Norfolk railroad has a track out behind the garages, and the trains kick up all manner of dust. I think I need a cover.

i like the color ... but why would you replace the corbin with a stock? that doesn't seem like a step up ...

It was for me. The Corbin IMO is terrible. It locks you into a position and does not allow freedom of movement. The stock seat allows me to move about on it, including shoving my rather substantial arse onto the passenger pillion to stretch my legs.

To each his own.

I'd have to agree - I put a Corbin on my K11RS and hated it, switched back to stock after a long 2k weekend. Luckily my new to me K75RT came with a BMW comfort seat Smile

Hey NH,

Looks familiar- except mine doesn't have the color-matched bags or the previously mentioned bandana option (gaiters work much better Laughing )

Good luck with yours.

fair enough ... but that corbin even matched the bike! what did you end up doing with it, or is it just wasting away in the garage?

Yes, nice color! Any thoughts on selling the bags? I would like to replace my blacks with color matched. I can't do without them since one side holds my rain gear/lunch bag, while the other is for my laptop.

You and Ted are making me reconsider getting a Corbin though.

Maybe you can use the Audi in the background to shield the train dust Laughing

It's sitting here in my recording studio. If you're interested, I could let it go cheap. It's a bit tattered, but usable.

They've been mostly sitting in the living room. The longest ride I've been able top manage so far is about 40 miles before the nerve damage in my knees makes it unbearable to ride further, but that number keeps rising.

I'll think about it.

It's already doing that duty. Most of it comes off at 100 anyway. Wink

P.S. try to ignore the Skippy thing...that's just me trying to be funny...my wife usually gives me a failing grade on that.

I had the same problem with the Corbin, it kept my butt in one place and really took away the ability to slide fore and aft to ease the ache in the knees that comes with being in the same position for lots of time. Plus the thing soaked up water like a sponge, and never really fit the bike very well.

I'm fine with that, although I did miss the implication so I'd give you a C- Smile
