Then you've opened the right thread.

Just a bit of curiosity having swapped my fuel filter, they are, of course, a sealed unit but a bit of gusto and a hacksaw, et voila, one grungy filter exposed.

But what does one look like prior to the grungyness? Then we'd know how dirty it really is.

Appx. how many miles on that baby?

Dunno, if you want to give me the £10 for a new one to attack with a hacksaw, i'll tell you Smile

I'd guess the paper would have a pale yellowish brown shade much like a new air filter, most fuel filters look this way so I'd say this is pretty grotty.

No idea on the miles as it was in when I got the bike, it has 105,000 miles on the odometer and judging by the plugs and air filter I changed I suspect it's not had a service / change for about 50,000 miles

10 quid isn't bad, at all! On this side of the pond, they are around $35! That's why I use the aftermarket ones!

Really?, thats about double!

That's OEM too.

We have a couple of decent online parts suppliers, motorworks and motobins.
