Then you've opened the right thread.
Just a bit of curiosity having swapped my fuel filter, they are, of course, a sealed unit but a bit of gusto and a hacksaw, et voila, one grungy filter exposed.

But what does one look like prior to the grungyness? Then we'd know how dirty it really is.
Appx. how many miles on that baby? _________________ Steve

Dunno, if you want to give me the £10 for a new one to attack with a hacksaw, i'll tell you
I'd guess the paper would have a pale yellowish brown shade much like a new air filter, most fuel filters look this way so I'd say this is pretty grotty.
No idea on the miles as it was in when I got the bike, it has 105,000 miles on the odometer and judging by the plugs and air filter I changed I suspect it's not had a service / change for about 50,000 miles _________________ I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, de-briefed or numbered! |

Hi,
10 quid isn't bad, at all! On this side of the pond, they are around $35! That's why I use the aftermarket ones! _________________ Ride Safe,

Really?, thats about double!
That's OEM too.
We have a couple of decent online parts suppliers, motorworks and motobins. _________________ I will not be pushed, filed, stamped, indexed, briefed, de-briefed or numbered! |
