Sorry, just seeing your reply in this post. I'm personally not in the market for another K, just thought some pics would help out your ad.

I'd recommend listing it for free at IBMWR if you haven't already.

Thanks guys. I'm selling because my wife cannot ride with me anymore - hence I don't need a top heavy bike anymore. She has arthritis and can't get on the bike easily.
Looking to get a lighter machine. This bike runs really well but I'm open to any offers or bids. Need to sell and look for a Oilhead. Had a great time riding it this summer - 2 wks + 4973 miles from Indy to AZ to CA and home.

I'll be posting my week-end's experiences on another thread, but your bike is what I'd like (in my dreams) to make of the stuff sitting in my truck bed and on my trailer.
Good luck in selling it!

If you are interested, make an offer. I would also consider a trade for an Oilhead or R bike.
This bike has gone through a lot of careful work. Have 190 pics of when the clutch and etc was done. Balancing the driveshaft was interesting. Anyway I spent 2 months on weekends checking everything and replacing anything that looked questionable. The rode it out west.

I am offering this machine for a rock bottom "recession fighter" price:
$2500.
You can part it out for more than that.

Saw your ad at IBMWR. $2,500 really is a steal for your bike. Good luck with the sale. I don't see how it will last long at that price. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Nothing I'd like better but I simply don't have the garage space - and I wouldn't leave something like that out in the rain. (I think it's time to frre up some garage space by selling my 89 RX-7 convertible that I haven't driven or registered for three years. The poor thing used to be quite pampered until I got into riding.)
You should buy the LT for Trudy for when she gets some miles under her belt and is ready for a REAL bike. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

While I think you gave it away, you spread the K-bike message to another BMW rider. And so if you're happy and he's happy, that's a happy ending. And whatever you next buy, I'm sure you'll provide the same TLC and then, when that phase ends, make someone else happy!

In less than 2 yrs the K engine will be shelved. Time to move on to a different machine. I liked the power and brakes but utlimately it turned to be a pure highway machine.
I will probably end up with a F or R machine; I enjoy low speed touring via county back roads in southern Indiana.
Thanks guys and gals; I have already told Chris about your site and the great LED cluster lites. I'll move on but Chris will take my place.
