Front and rear wheels from my 1996 K1100RS. Powder coated black. Good
condition both - front wheel comes with good bearings too.
Front is 3.50 x 17 - Rear 4.50 x 18
Fits all K1100; some K100; some K75. You do the research to verify fit
for your application- I could be wrong.
$300.00 shipped to your door in lower 48 - USA only.

I and several riders I know of have had wheels done at a place in Monroe NC - http://www.drakecoatings.com/gallery/. (check out pics)
If you were in no hurry and just wanted satin black they would hold your wheels until some other parts came thru needing satin black - usually industrial items/furniture.
Looking back thru my old records I paid $35 in 2005 for the first one and $50 about three years later for a fourth one. Usually not show quality (and sometimes hit and miss with masking effort) the price was certainly right.
Never had a receipt - wheels went in thru shop door and were picked up with cash only - the shops beer/food/? fund most likely.
I kept the best two and other two went with my RS. They do clean up easily and look good too!
No idea what current price would be - maybe someone here has some recent powercoat experience. _________________ Dave Norris KOG 248

I want to see a picture of those shiny bits mounted on the new owner's bike. They are really sweet. I imagine the bike will go at least 10mph faster too! |

Would like to remove anything silver or chrome from the bike.
I really do not like chrome.
Unfortunately the brake rotors kinda' throw a wrench into the works. _________________ John & Cathy

At least they would look good for a few minutes.
Might be interesting the first time I grab a big handful of brake. _________________ John & Cathy

Drum brakes? Might as well just eliminate them altogether and drag my feet to stop. _________________ John & Cathy

| Great looking on blue. They would look downright sinister on a black machine. |

Is that the K11 with the K12 motor that you got some time ago?
How was that hybrid machine?
I remember you did a pictorial ride report on its pickup and ride home.
I also think helmet free riding has its place. I rode/stealth camped around India on an Royal Enfield with just goggles and cap, no falls or upsets.
All the very best and thank Y'all for the good ol K11OG forum. |
