Meh, not my kind of riding. I'd much rather just go out and wander 2-laners endlessly solo. The thing I like about riding is the lack of pressure and the ability to wander. I've had great 250 mile days and great 800 mile days. To me a good day of riding is 12-14 hours in the saddle at whatever pace is good for the day followed by camping under the stars at a place you hadn't planned on.
But for those that are into that kind of thing more power to them. Kind of an intriguing concept though. Riding is different things to different people. It's all good IMO. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Exactly
From here on the mid eastern coast OZ, ten hours ride will take you far far away from 99% of all the people, almost into the Outback....where the silence is so thick you can cut it with a knife and the southern hemisphere turns on its most intense panorama of stars
Take it easy and rest well
The snow is high in north Europe...
Here the wet-season has well begun.... |

I would be willing to bet that the entries are closed at this point. They fill up quick as they only take 200 riders and repeat riders get first dibs. _________________ 1997 K1100LT

Meh, I did the SS1K just to do it for the heck of it. The 50CC and the BBG were done in the same ride because I wanted to get from one coast to the other and not waste a lot of time. I've done other LD rides but didn't bother with getting them certified.
The IB rally is a whole nutha ball o' wax. 11,000 miles in 11 days. _________________ 93 LT (x2)
