It's a '99 R1100S non ABS, 36k on the clock, immaculate condition! Full non-cat Laser exhaust and chip... sounds so mean it makes the baby Jesus cry... what can I say... I'm an addict...

$5200. A little high, but it's a very sweet package. |

OK, I'm obviously a K bike fan but the weird thing about those R11S bikes is that they are not photogenic at all. I've seen many a picture of them but it wasn't until I saw a red one in person at the dealer that I realized how nice looking they are in real life. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Rydor,
Until I had the pleasure of riding down to and around HM with Darryl from NZ, I wasn't an R-S fan either.
But riding with him convinced me otherwise. That bike can handle.
And with the two brothers exhaust he had on his bike, riding behind him sounded GREAT! K11 bikes may live forever, but are missing THAT sound.
Nice BIKE! Congrats. (NOW I am REALLY green with envy)

It's OK, we understands, and there is no cure!!
That's a beauty, R11S will someday be one of the great classics. Enjioy!!

What is the consensus on these bikes? Someone is selling a nice-looking 2001 with ABS, 14k miles for $4k, all receipts and hard cases, never been down (haha that is in every ad, but this one looks like it might be true.)
Can you put (much) higher bar position with bar backs? I'd love an R bike to add to the stable but the position would be painful, I think I would need at least 2" up and back. _________________

Here is the link:
http://washingtondc.craigslist.org/nva/mcy/2175596759.html
I was a bit off on the miles, still not bad. I did e-mail him on price, he said he would not go lower than 4k.
Any particular weaknesses with the 01 R11S? _________________

Compared to other Rs those always seem to be priced low. I guess the BMW Starbucks snobs have to have an RT or a GS.
But at least it's not a K. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

Hey Ted,
I am selling my 96 R1100rt for $3800 and it runs and looks great. I am looking at getting a snobby GS since I am moving out to NM. If you are interested I can send you some pics and more info. _________________ Rich
