The fog was thick as I crept along I could see something moving deer I thought and slowed even more the lady was standing in knee high grass her white cotton dress flowing in the breeze the flowers in her wrinkled hands were freshly picked she was elderly yet a beauty I cannot described was present she spoke in a voice so soft yet firm and a gentleness that made me feel calm and warm on this chilly morning I’m from up yonder a ways she pointed up the hill into the fog behind us been in these parts all my life come walk with me a spell not many people pass this way she seemed to know my questions and answered them uninterrupted by me the fog had begun to lift she had errands to run and asked if I would stop by for a visit next time I passed by my name is Emma she waved good by as she disappeared into the fog I knew when I mounted my bike something special had happened to me although I wasn’t sure what it was I did know I learned about another time and way of life I would never get to personally experience My Bike has brought me adventures I could never have imagined and I am a better person for it yes the marker on the hill reads Emma Hastings 1807 to 1898 which came first the marker or Emma not really sure don’t really care could have been a dream my bike takes me many places my riding days maybe numbered however I will continue to ride forever I am a motorcycle rider

Careful there. A period seems to drifted into your 200 word sentence. Rolling Eyes

I'll have what Lexxol's having.

In fact, make it a double.

One of the coolest rides I have had was the Blue Ridge Parkway in the fog, was eerily solitary and solemn.

That is where I got to thinking about people that once lived in Cades Cove and other places around the Parkway. I'm fortunate enough to spend summers in Maggie Valley where I have met and become friends with some of the old timers. I can listen to them by the hour. The fog is eerie on the Parkway. I do stop at cemeteries it is amazing how many never lived more then a year. They were a tough lot.

Reads almost like the first draft of lyrics for a Robert Earl Keen song, lex.

I'm with DV - a double of whatever you were having oughta hit the spot.
