As I mentioned in the oops I used ethanol thread we had a great weekend in Penrith, about 1000 kms south of here. Andrew (pegasus) from here even turned up which was great Smile

Dumped photos of the weekend into picasa for you to gawk at.

Rode back last night, 11 hours from Penrith to Samford including a half hour nanny nap and 3 petrol splash and dashs straight up the Pacific Highway, moving average was 97kph. Not bad considering half of it was in the dark!

BTW, check out the following photo, this guy lost his right leg and arm in a racing accident but that hasn't stopped him! That's one gutsy young man there!! His bike number is 1/2 hahaha.

I have to ask - the Norton with Ron Toombs' number and colours on - claims to be an ES3 - wtf? I've raced an all alloy ES2 motor in a featherbed, but I have no idea about an ES3 Question

Not an expert in these things. It didn't even have a motor in it at the time, although I saw them prepping a motor in the shed behind it.

Thanks for the beers Derek.

How was the oil consumption on the way home? Interestingly, mine was only half the use of the way down, which probably represented the slower pace up the Pacific Highway and the rain on Monday. Did anyone find your tent?

I had a puncture in the rear tyre just before Coffs Harbour. Nearly got caught by a "flash for cash" just before Newcastle.

By the way, The Ruptured Budgie rally is coming up on May 13
http://www.motoguzziclubqld.org/Our%20Rally.htm . The entrance is now from the Bruxner Highway. The floods have washed away the top entrance and a lot of the area around the causeway.

Frank, are you coming as usual? As you drag the trailer along everywhere, we voted you the official cold beverage custodian for the weekend!
