Thank you everyone for your responses. During the course of this thread I have had 2 flats on the rear which I plugged and finally wore down the rear enough to warrant replacement since I will be doing about a 4,500 mile trip to the National in Salida MO next month. My immediate need (rear worn out and 11 Yr old tires) compelled me to buy the cheapest thing out there which was the BT45V ($179 fir both tires (or is that TYRES) at MC superstore) got them all mounted up and ready to go). They seem to handle OK to me, but sure are skinny looking. Anyway I will start looking for rims when I get back, I think the best solution is to put RS rims on this beast and BT023's. If any body knows of some reasonably priced rims please PM me. Thanks again for all the info. Rolling Eyes

I tryied the Bridgestone Batlax 140/70 in the rear and used it to the bones...
Was a great tire.
Recomended.
Guilherme.

I bought the PR3, so I am running a radial in the front and bias in the rear. I have a few hundred miles with this mix now and cannot feel too much difference. It did did get squirrely at 115 mph so I backed off. Not sure if that was the tires or just limits of the bike. It is close for a change on the rear as well so I will put a radial on when the time warrants, probably the next month or so.
Any suggestions on a companion tire for the PR3???

Brian,
Why not simply put another PR3 on the back? See the link I posted earlier in this thread. Your high speed wobble fix is also discussed in there.

D'ohhh, well that would be too easy Embarassed
It helps if I read before posting. I remember looking at their store and seeing that no manufacturer offered both front and back tires for the older LT's. Even remember a thread somewhere mentioning it.

That's what I will do.

Currently running PR2 front, Avon Azaro rear.
9MM (IIRC) tread depth on Avon from new.
Considerably better than the BT45's I once thought were the dogs danglies.
