Heading home…..
Monday loaded up and ready to head out.
A couple of pics of Drakes K75 Frankenbike.
Heading to Port Townsend for the Ferry.
Waiting for the Ferry, Salis
On board and parked for the ride.
Some shots on the way across the sound.
Heading to port.
Off the boat, heading towards Deception Pass
Some sight seer’s out for some sites……
From here heading to the I-5 junction, Drakes going to head south and I’m heading west to Mystic Red’s fire station…..
My stepdad is retired railroad, so I also have an interest in RR history.
This is a first that I’ve seen a restaurant in a caboose…..
Then the Cascades park and pass.
Oooh, oooh, another steam loco…
North Cascade Highway….
After a little bit of rain coming over the pass, one of the Deer Kill photo ops…..
From here more of Washington state didn’t see too many apple farms but my camera was acting up and I seem to have missed them.
As the day progressed here comes the Idaho border.
From here, not too long to the Fire Station.
Tuesday morning came, the Flying Fire Truck was out on a call by the time I got up.
Some shots of the station location.
View from the deck.
Well, heading out again. From here on out the urge of “I’m ready to be home” itis led me to fewer pics shot
Still in Idaho yet.
Montana border again.
A few mountain grades up and down to get to Wyoming.
Spent the night in Billings
Wednesday was back to the road again.
Wyoming border again…..
Plenty of brown…….
A power plant in the middle of nowhere
Good use of the Amber Alert road signs for public service messages.
Beware Nebraska, here I come….
My stop for the night.
Thursday came with quite a bit of road construction not worth taking picures of.
Finally, closer to home. And the final pic to close out this report.
Thank you to Drake and Roy, Scott & Trudy for your hospitality on this trip. _________________ Ride safe.

We covered some of the same ground on our recent trip to visit Drake, but we didn't see or missed the North Cascades Park sign, where was it?? That is something we always take a picture of for our trips.
Nice pics, enjoyed it. _________________ Steven B

I'll see if I can time check the photo time stamp to my track log, it did look fairly new, ie the landscaping around it was fresh and still marked with safety cones like it was a new change.
It was at the same pull off as the other sign(the next pic after) that indicated the scenic sites of the route. _________________ Ride safe.

I am very impressed with the 'welcome to our state' signs for Idaho and Nabraska, absolutely no expense spared there _________________ K1100RS '97
