I think I have set a record for the slowest clutch replacement. The clutch went out in May and the bike sat for a couple of weeks while I considered my options. Now let me say the extent of my bike mechanical experience consists of greasing the chain on my old Honda and changing the oil. After reading extensively the posts here and getting encouragement from everyone here I decided to take on the job myself. Due to work, waiting on parts and other personal commitments the job really drug on, but today I finished it and the bike shifts better than ever and NO leftover parts!! Thanks to everyone for their help and support. _________________ 1995 K1100 LT

Yep, she's my idol. I thought about Gwen doing the same job by herself up in Canada. Seemed like every time I turned around I had to buy a tool or order a part. I would have become a resident by the time I finished. Would have hated to try this far from home. Now I've got to get the brakes bled to my satisfaction. They seem a bit softer than before. _________________ 1995 K1100 LT
