I am so excited... I have found the bike I have been looking for since I started riding in the late 70s... the Honda CRF250L.

It looks very clean for a bike you have been looking for, for nearly 40 years!! where did you find it? Was it under the house? Hidden in the back of the shed??? Did you leave it at the train station? _________________ K1100RS '97

Nice- the new 250L has received good reviews.
Dual purpose. I like the way you think.
I sort-of found what I want. Suzuki DRZ400S. Actually I have ordered it and the dealer should have it in a few days.

Nice bike (I have one!).
Okay, faults - suspension too soft, seat too hard.
Pluses - I can pick it up (when) I drop it off road, heaps of fun.
Suggest putting case savers and a aftermarket (larger) fuel tank on it. |

Great bike!
I had it's predecessor (an '82 XL250R), back in the day.
Bought it new and rode that thing all over the Saddleback mountains in So. Cal. when I was stationed out there.
I hope you have some great trails to enjoy it on!
my only suggestion:
Consider a Barnett racing clutch, it did wonders for mine.
Congratulations!

Picked her up last weekend. Definitely must install handguards.
