| Thanks for the suggestion but upon reading their website it says that they have recently separated from WP. I ended up going with Race-Tec. The springs should be here this week..........stay tuned. |

Thanks, David |
Oh.. I suppose I wasn't clear. Actually that was a link to an instruction page for installing WP or RaceTech springs onto your K1100.. I actually purchased my WP's from a site in England that now appears not to have them. Dunno why.. but then again .. why did it take me 2 years to decide to put them in my bike.. OMG. .my wife was right!! I am getting old..
sorry for the misdirected info..

Not a problem, I'm getting old too and so is my K11LT (93,000 miles). I went with Race-Tech springs and am having them installed by Cogent Dynamics in Fletcher, NC in a couple of weeks.
They are also going to install a set of their Drop-in Damper Cartridges and new bushings/seals. I'll post the results as soon as I get a few miles on the new set up.
Cheers! |

Finally got a couple hundred miles on the K bike with the new Race Tech springs and service by Cogent Dynamics. WOW what a difference.
They serviced the forks (bushings, seals and new springs), and the rear Works Performance shock. They also dynoed the whole suspension so that the front and rear damping and spring rates match perfectly.
Smooth, taut and controlled. Better than new. I'm a happy camper, thanks Rick, Joyce and Ken. |

Gidday Fellas,
To finish off this thread that I started a while ago and mentioned earlier, today I finally go around to replacing the front fork springs on my 1993 K1100LT
I put Race-Tech springs in and used 15w Motorex which was red in colour and the difference in handling was great, the bike now rides through bumps and rough road instead of crashing down into it, big improvement indeed.
I followed the links (walkthru's) that where posted on here about completing the job and it was actually a lot easier than it read, can be done with two people and not three, just read first, lay everything out, take your time and enjoy the project.
I had never done this before nor my mate who helped and it took us 1 hours exactly to complete the right side and 45 minutes the left.
many thanks once again for all of your input and safe riding _________________ Cheers Grant

These are the RAM Goldline progressive springs which were developed specially for Kays [ K100 / K1100].
Ben Kingham won the BE.A.R.S. series outright last year using these springs and RAM shox.
