Hi to all! I'm a recent convert, After owning four Goldwings from 1980 GL1100 to a 2007 Gl1800 I'm now riding a pair of BMWs, a '94 K1100LT and a 2013 C650GT. Both in the fastest color, of course. Really enjoying both, the scooter is great in town while I'm more than pleased on the road with the 1100 on the highway. Not quite as plush a ride as a GW but a lot more nimble. I actually got out of motorcycles a few months ago when I got the maxi scooter but It looked lonely in the garage so I got it a fine mate. I'm really surprised such a nice bike, even at twenty years of age would be so inexpensive at $2800. That's a lot of motorcycle for the cost. The scooter and bike cost me less than I sold the GW for. I should have tried a BMW a long time ago. _________________ Paul W.

If it doesn't have them already you should switch to radial tires. Will redefine "nimble" for you. _________________ 93 LT (x2)

It's terrible but this bike came with new tires but I'll give radials a try when I get these worn down. It will be interesting to see, I ran bias on my GL1500 and radials on my GL1800 even though they were both Dunlop E3s of the same sizes it wasn't possible to compare the two since the change to the aluminum frame made such great difference in handling with the GL1800.
I've ridden this K bike a couple hundred miles in the past two days and can say it does grow on one. On a ride to Grant's Pass today there were rain showers and strong winds in the mountains. The old girl handled the wind while passing semis in I-5 with aplomb. I think you folks on this forum have a secret that I just discovered. I'm going to like this bike, I could have spent more money on a newer machine of just about any kind but really think I got a heck of a deal on this one. _________________ Paul W.
