1996 K1100RS Rear Master Cylinder - I want to strip this down and powder coat it but then I notice the reservoir feed tube (the penis looking thing) and it is made out of plastic. I am not sure if it is removable?, is OEM design? or a fix by someone? It is plastic so I am not sure if I can powder coat it or if I have to go buy a new one, OUCH!

I don't think you can powder coat plastic. The powder has to be baked in an oven to melt it onto the surface. That means you also can't have any non metallic parts inside the cylinder.
Why don't you just clean it up and spray paint it? |

Will the plastic top come out?. It almost looks like it might separate. It's just gravity feed from the reservoir anyway. _________________ Ride safe.

| I gave it a yank but I was afraid of breaking it. I don't know what it looks like in there. If it is OEM then it is probably glued in with something. |

How about soda blasting it, and a clear coat? Then if/when you have a brake fluid leads you don't have to worry about pealing black paint..... _________________ Ride safe.

Coloured aluminium is normally anodised. See if you can have the M/C anodised. _________________ K1100RS Special Edition 1997

Why not consider 2-part black epoxy paint? It has the chemical resistance of powdercoat without the need for the application of heat to cure it. Benjamin Moore sells a line of industrial paint products and can be ordered through any local retail outlet. _________________ - Robert
