Hi Picked up a sidecar and wondering if there is anyone with some info on the mounting points and subframe required for the k1100 pics or some sort of drawings would be helpful Thanks AB

At least 2 members have mounted 'cars to their K bikes.

Yes, I'm looking at the possibility of having to fit a third wheel [ old football Knee injury ].

Not difficult, but you do need some sort of cradle ..........

Well, perhaps a different kind of sidecar from what you're thinking, but here's how my leaner is mounted. The rear is 2 PC, and picks up where the center stand went and also off the shock and rear engine/transmission mount, if I remember correctly. The front goes to the two engine mounts and one lower engine bolt hole to keep it from twisting fore/aft. Its a bit of work to tuck in there.

My EML setup came with a subframe that runs under the plastic and ties into the bike at the front motor mounts, steering head and trannsmission. you can see a little bit of it here.
